As reported in July, Wisteria Lane will be getting a Gay couple and the creator of the show is supposedly trying to recruit some hot imports! Mark Cherry would love to have David Beckham and Robbie Williams as the new happy go lucky English couple on the show. I just want to say that no official statement has been released to confirm whether or not the two men will take the role, but it's Cherry's dream and wish to have the pair join in the desperate fun!! Would this hurt Beck's career as a football player?
Now this story is a real trip! So David and Victoria Beckham wanted to throw a leaving London party a few weeks ago, but the venue had been booked for months. Posh insisted on having this celebration and was very persistent in her efforts to convince the couple who were having their reception there to go elsewhere. Finally, The Becks offered the couple a Mini Cooper as well as pay for the entire wedding and mortgage. My goodness, I know when you have money the greed manifests itself and you feel superior to all people, but I think that was going a little overboard. Although, I can't say that I would've turned it down, I mean seriously!
David and Victoria were shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday and ran into the " Queen". The Becks have a lot to smile about these days. David has really revived ESPN ratings and although her show Coming to America didn't do so well, Posh will be guest starring on Ugly Betty this upcoming season. Posh, please give up the Spice Girl Tour, it will be more like the Golden Girls reunion.
I've been a little M.I.A. since my last post, but work can have you going in circles sometimes. I really couldn't wait to get home and blog! It's really becoming a second job and can you say, addictive! I just want to give kudos to myself, because I was one of the first blogs to post about the Becks party ( 7/19). If I'm wrong then let me know and crush my feelings in the process! Well, here's a collage of pics from the oh so glamorous event... Is it just me or does Tom Cruise really look weird? I know age can set in and acting jobs stop, but don't let your wife out do you Tom! Also attending the party was good girl gone bad Rihanna and bonafide bad girl Lil Kim. Lindsay and her monitor attended the party as well. If only I was a little famous, maybe I'll become a valet girl or a door opener. Hey, that's how most of them got started! I found this video on you tube and it's really funny, so check it out. Also, I watched the football game tonight and the celebs came out like a drone of bees! Jennifer Love Hewitt, The Governator, Katie, Eva Parker, and many more. The individual that was in the boxes up top really shocked me, because the talks between the Lakers and Timberwolves had supposedly died, well I beg to differ. I may be wrong, but why in the hell would K.G. come all the way from Minnesota to watch Becks, did he even know him before he came to the states? I have to admit the media frenzy was over-hyped. It's really funny, because it's nothing knew to David, so he probably finds it comical. The whole Beckham cam that watched every move and breath David took was very much over the top! Drew Carey really is a fan, he has season tickets to the L.A. Galaxy every year, so it wasn't anything special, he was more interested in what was going on down below than talking with some inside reporter.
Please stop judging Posh and Becks, I know she seems a little snooty and private, but I don't blame her. The media coverage over here is a lot different than Europe. They were the Brangelina of England, so to come to the city of angels, you have to be guarded. The happy couple have a lot of charities that they support, really support! They're not fronting like most celebs do, red carpet appearances, paint the town blue, and head to the hills. I always give props to celebs that are helping out our children. So keep up the good work, Becks!
Will Smith and Tom Cruise will be hosting a " Welcome to LA" party for David Beckham in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, July 22. The party's guest list are elite powerhouses in the industry. Some of the R.S.V.P. that have been confirmed are Oprah, Steven Spielberg, Jim Carey, and many more. This will be the launch of putting D-Town LA back on the map.
Also Will Smith will be shooting parts of his new film, John Hancock on 8th and Fig, you know where Bruce Willis crashed the helicopter in Live Free or Die Hard! So if you're out and about in LA, go by and check Mr. Big Willy out
Becks may have to delay his start on Saturday due to an ankle injury. Don't you usually test out the product before putting it in mass production. It just goes to show you that sports is no longer about skill, sleepless nights, and hard training. Today, you can have a bum ankle and chill on the sideline while getting approx 4 million a month ( excluding endorsements). Hey, I'm not hating at all, just wish sports were more authentic.
Victoria and David Beckham leaving Heathrow airport on Friday. They arrived in Los Angeles late last night to a sea of pappas and flashing lights. They will reside in a 22 million mansion. Aren't the boys just handsome with their matching shirts and white chucks? The tickets for some L.A. Galaxy games have already sold-out! Victoria will have a spread in W by herself and will go to work on her new reality show. I'm not so sure I will be watching, she just seems so fake and plastic, she's hard on the eyes. Welcome to L.A., the city of rich, snobbish, and awesome parties with a lot of drugs and booze. Just kidding, I haven't been, but it does sound exciting. LOL
David says goodbye to his team, Real Madrid and the whole fam is there to celebrate. Wow, his kids are a splitting image of David, which is a good thing! Victoria's skin looks like it has been pulled, no stretched to the max. I know David has to be saying, ok baby that's enough! Is it just me or is Katie trying to be the modern day Jackie O? She can't pull off that look if she tried, Mrs. O was gracious and very classy. Also, she was very independent and was a quiet warrior. On the other hand, Katie does what her master tells her. Tom Cruise is just weird, the image of him on Oprah's couch will forever be etched in my mind.
