Suspended Doorman Returns to Work

I saw this story on Headline News tonight and it was so funny! A Manhattan doorman was suspended for bad breath! He's been working at the complex for 40 years. He was told by management not to return on Friday, because of Halitosis. Jonah Seeman was suspended twice for bad breath. Seeman says he stopped eating garlic and takes mouthwash and breath mints to work. It's a disease people, so if you haven't figured that out of the last 40 years then something is definitely wrong with you. The management over the building weren't taking calls, but sent the doorman a letter dated Nov. 21, stating: "We can no longer tolerate the fact that you have severe breath odor while on duty." Well, it helps to have a big mouth! Jonah went public and a day after he was suspended and calls weren't being returned, management now says he won't lose any money nor is his job at risk.

Brangelina and the Boys Take on Broadway

Bruce Glikas/ Just Jared

Brangelina took the boys to the Off Broadway Show Jump last night in New York. It's so nice to see these two spend so much time with their kids even though other obligations consume them. Angie's getting that glow again!

JustSweet Fashion Show in New York

Wireimage
J.Glo unveiled her JustSweet fashion line at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday night. The line actually looks pretty cute, nothing I would wear, but then again I'm not so into the fem look. Is it just me or does Mrs. Lopez look like she's eating for two? I know she always had some back, but never any front. If she is preggers, what a sexy momma she'll be!!

Tony Dungy #1 on New York Times Bestseller List

Congratulations are in order, Tony Dungy will be on top of the New York Times Bestseller List for non-fiction hardcovers. What an accomplishment for a great man who had to deal with so much this past year. Dungy had the most terrible family tragedy and to rise above and keep your team focused on the prize was just admirable. I will be getting a copy of "Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, and Priorities of a Winning Life" and I hope you will too. I wish Tony all the success.

The Air Quality in New York Is Ok?

I know it's a little late to report on this story, because its been on every network, but what happened yesterday was very disturbing. It brought back so many memories from the tragedy that occurred almost six years ago. I think everyone can remember what they were doing when they heard the radio stations break for an emergency broadcast, I was in the lab conducting an experiment and chatting with co-workers about the weekend ahead. So, it's understandable to run, scream, and try to take cover, especially with all these threats that are coming our way. CNN reported this morning that a person did die of a heartache while trying to take cover and several are injured, some critical. Now, the after effects is what I'm worried about. Officials from the Emergency Management said that the steam and dust that came from the eighty-three year old pipe didn't affect the air quality, even though yesterday right after the blast there was asbestos released. My thing is where did the asbestos go from yesterday. Asbestos can get into the groundwater and contaminate the whole water supply. This is the same thing after 9/11, Giuliani and other officials said that the air quality wasn't harmful and then people start getting sick and filing lawsuits. Isn't it logical to think otherwise, the government really kills me when they go on these campaigns to convince innocent citizens that there isn't any long-term effects. Well, they better be right and ready to face the accusations coming their way. I sincerely hope that all the injured will recover and condolences to the individual that didn't.

Harry X!!

It really infuriates me when drug dealers start to play on the innocence of others. In New York, fourteen people were arrested for trying to smuggle in 400,000 pills from Europe that bear the popular symbol from the Harry Potter franchise.

Leave Your Ego At The Door!

I really tried to find a decent pic of this Lil Kim wannabe. It seems that her dream of becoming the Queen Bee will come true, well not really. She was arraigned on Attempted Murder charges in NYC. In Lil Kim's case, her crime rendered a lesser charge, but this case is serious. Apparently, she shot a woman who at one point was an associate. If all evidence points to Ma, then she should get a stiff sentence, it's not like she's Eve or Missy. She won't get any special treatment like Paris. So, I expect the trial will last no more than a month, not unless she has some high-priced attorney, which I seriously doubt. My question is where is Fat Joe? Oh yea,
" making it rain" with Lil Wayne. I'll keep you updated...

AL Updates!

I think it's quite clear who my favorite team is! Yes, I want these two to meet in the ALCS! The BoSox and Yankees have new rosters and I'm always up for a good dogfight. What could be a better matchup, than an old schooler and new kid from around the globe? It would just be the ultimate, bars all over the world would rake in plenty of dough and spend a lot on cab service! Ahh yes, October is awesome! The BoSox took on the Giants at Fenway Park. Unfortunately, the line-up was a hot mess until my boy Manny stepped to the plate and hit one right over the Green Monster! Dice-K had 8 strikeouts and 7 scoreless innings. Final Score 1-0
The "Subway" series continued and this time the Mets were off the tracks. I just hope the Yanks can keep the wins up, so they can make my dream come true! Final Score 11-8

Yankees Win Fifth Straight!

Yes, listen to the excitement at Yankee stadium! He did return and helped the Yankees win their 5th straight game against the Pirates (6 innings, 5 hits, 3 runs, 2 walks and 7 strikeouts). The final score was 9-3. I was a little hard on the guy for the groin injury, but as a Red Sox fan, I have to be loyal! I don't think that these wins will help the Yankess get back to the top and face Boston in the series we all want to see. I'll keep you posted and until then RED SOX RULE!!

Give It Up Yankees!!

I think the Yankees need to hang their hats and realize they're not the bomb anymore. The pitching line-up sucks! Roger Clemens who? He's side-lined with a groin injury. The organization couldn't have really thought that bringing in Roger Clemens was going to do the job, did they? I like Joe Torre, he's had a tremendous career! I just think it's time for new blood. The Yankees arch nemesis is the Red Sox and Beckett just got his 9th win!
