Congratulations are in order, Tony Dungy will be on top of the New York Times Bestseller List for non-fiction hardcovers. What an accomplishment for a great man who had to deal with so much this past year. Dungy had the most terrible family tragedy and to rise above and keep your team focused on the prize was just admirable. I will be getting a copy of "Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, and Priorities of a Winning Life" and I hope you will too. I wish Tony all the success.

Scary Spice Isn't Playing So Nice!
Melanie Brown asked the court to be fair and reasonable in her case against Eddie Murphy. She claims that Murphy hasn't paid a dime to her even after the DNA test proved that he's the father. I can't stand when men plant all these seeds and then decide, hey it's not convenient for me. Please Eddie, you have five other children plus one, so don't act like you don't owe Mel anything. The reason why our world is so screwed up is because our priorities are out of place. He would rather put a ring on Tracy Edmonds finger than put milk in the bottle of his own child. Also, Tracy should be ashamed of herself for not being supportive of Mel B., just another selfish female in my opinion. He knows darn well that Mel isn't making any money, except for the interviews that she gives to various media outlets and that ain't much. It's about the baby and not your ego. Furthermore, I'm sure Johnny won't mind being pushed even more into the background for another one of your exploits! I hope Mel gets everything she's asking for and then some. She doesn't seem like the money hungry gold-digger, just a mother trying to support her daughter with a rich father. In my book, that's never been a crime, just don't get greedy!

Abusing the Adopted

I am so totally outraged with this story that it has simply brought me to tears. Being someone who is adopted, I found this story to be the most horrific and scary. In West Palm Beach, FL, a 62 year old woman is being charged with abuse, Judith Leekin is accused of fraudulently adopting and mistreating 11 New York children in order to bilk a child welfare agency out of $2 million. I will stop here for a second, first of all why did this happen between 1993-1996, and here we are in 2007 and we are just handling this. Apparently she was been able to manipulate her identity, by using various aliases, to keep adopting these people. People who adopt special needs children in New York City can get as much as $55 a day until the child turns 21. These children were handcuffed and not allowed to go to the bathroom, were not fed, and couldn't go to school. How could a person do this to other human beings? How could this woman get away with this for so long? Did she not have friends or relatives that would come by and see this happening? What did her neighbors have to say? I am sorry but I am so fired up about this story because I was so blessed to be adopted by the best parents in the world. Adoption agencies are supposed to protect children, not freely give them away to animals. I am going to pray that these people will get the best care possible. Hopefully our government will impose stronger laws on these type of matters. I hope this woman experiences the fullest extent of the law and gets the maximum punishment for her crimes. (ALL 11 of the charges!!!!)
Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
Health Club giant, Bally's Total Fitness files Chapter 11 - bankruptcy!! Bally listed $396.8 million of assets and $761.3 million of debts as of December 31, court papers show. How does this sort of thing happen, I am so confused. Bally has struggled in recent years to attract new members, and in March said it expected continued membership declines through at least 2008. That is because America is fat and exercise is no longer on people to do list. Of course around the New Year, every one's resolution is to get fit and hit the gym, but by February all those hopes have died. We have become a society of fast food and getting everything quickly. We now want instant results in everything and that includes fitness, we get plastic surgery, take magical diet pills, or just starve ourselves. I want to be more fit but I hate to sweat, so don't think that I am writing this and am not apart of the problem. I won't go to gym to save my life, not even the free one in my apartment complex. Well I hope we start prioritizing because our fitness affects our health and I am tired of being unhealthy, get out and be productive America!!!
I write on this blog because I love it,

Siskel and Ebert Clips on the Web
Who doesn't love a thumbs up or down? Well this will be a real treat. All of the 5,000 clip reviews from the famed show Siskel and Ebert will be available on the web. I remember as a teenager watching the show before going to see movies that I had planned on attending a week before. Sometimes their thumbs down made me decide against the movie, but I didn't always agree. The chemistry and entertainment value that the show possessed was irreplaceable and so I was very sad when Siskel passed away in 2000. The show just isn't the same without him, no offense to Roeper. The web site will definitely be in my favorites as it holds many great memories for me.

No Cover-up in the the Tillman Case
Donald Rumsfeld said, " there was no cover-up in Tillman's death". Pat's parents attended the hearing after they requested for further investigation into the death of their son. This story is so sad, because here is a guy who loved football, but loved his country more and now he's dead! I think that the parents aren't going to get anymore out of the government. They need to cut their losses and just deal with their grief and celebrate Pat's life and always keep his memory alive through the Pat Tillman Foundation. I wish the family peace through these hard times.

Nicole Confirms Her Pregnancy
As promised Nicole Ritchie spoke with Diane Sawyer this morning on Good Morning America with the support of her main squeeze, Joel Madden. She confirmed her pregnancy and the relief she feels now that her court drama is over. However, she still will have to serve her four days in jail by the end of September. I have to be honest, I'm more partial to Ritchie and not Paris, because Nicole seems to be more in tuned with reality. I think that being pregnant and having a stable relationship will make Nicole focus more on her baby and not on herself. She will gain weight and become more conscious of the ill-advised things she was doing. you know everyone deserves a second chance, well this is more like her fifth, but who's counting! The interview will air on Thursday and Friday, so tune in if you're interested otherwise turn it to ESPN Sportscenter!

Beyonce is Very Confident
Beyonce stopped by MTV TRL yesterday to.... I don't know why she wanted to came on the show, but her album came out last year. Don't you think that Kelly should've appeared with her since the only success Kelly can have is with her BFF. She did a Q&A segment with the Associated Press and she spoke about her enjoyment performing with an all girl band and the hectic year it's been. I think that's pretty cool, supporting girl power. She's still on tour so we will see what her next move is in the movie realm.

Britney's Boys Cry for Help?
Now this is a crying shame, this will be the new cover of Life&Style magazine! I like the gossip rags and all, but there comes a time when you must at least respect others. It's bad enough that these children have a mother that has completely lost it. We all know that her behavior is affecting all those around her and yes definitely the boys. I don't think that it's in the mags place to speak for the children. I think we all know that kids don't see any wrong doings when it comes to parents, they tend to love them regardless. When they get older then the kids will have a better understanding of what a hot mess their mother is, but for right now don't make them the exploits in Britney's scandal!!
